Allowing consumers to contact you through Illinois Lawyer Finder is an easy way to help grow your business. This feature is off by default.
What can consumers share via the contact request form?
Consumers can enter their contact information, a short description of their legal issue, and the identity the parties involved. The description field has a limited character length to prevent the consumer from sharing too much personal information and to protect you from any conflicts of interest prior to formally entering into an attorney-client relationship.
When a consumer establishes contact, you receive and email and can respond to and manage your contact requests via the Illinois Lawyer Finder dashboard.
How do I enable the consumer contact requests feature?
- Sign in using your state bar credentials.
Note: If you are already signed in and are not in Edit profile mode, click Actions from the top right corner, then select Edit profile.
- Scroll down to the Profile Settings section and click Edit.
- "Allow contact through the site" is one of several settings you can adjust. Toggle it on or off using the Yes/No slider. In the screenshot below, contact from the consumer is being allowed.
- Save your entries. Consumers may now contact you via your Illinois Lawyer Finder profile.
